Blu’s classic 2011 album ‘Jesus’ is now available again on vinyl after years out of print and features the previously unreleased bonus track “Arrow & The Sparrow” featuring Jimetta Rose. The album features guest appearances by Planet Asia and Killer Ben, plus production by Alchemist, Madlib, Knxwledge, Hezekiah, and more.
The album original landed on Bandcamp in 2011, uploaded by an artist named “B”. It was soon discovered to be the latest project from Blu. The unpolished but deeply soulful collection quickly made waves on blogs and social media. Just weeks later, it improbably became one of Blu’s first official solo releases, and it remains a lo-fi masterpiece, with mesmerizing production by Alchemist, Madlib, Knxwledge, Hezekiah, and Blu himself.
