Sugar Hill Records (US) [SH-556] 1981
This is the first of just two releases by Wayne Garland & Charlie (The Rapping Dummy). Typical of the time, it’s a feel good boogie rap about being happy with life although it seems to be a re-wording of “The Breaks” by Kurtis Blow. The dummy is an added gimmick although it’s being used in a positive way by Wayne even today by engaging kids and giving them a positive message through rap.
It was released more commonly in a generic Sugar Hill company sleeve but there is also a harder to find picture sleeve.
