Smirfathon U.S.A. was the one and only solo single by Jalil (Jalil Hutchins), and was a male version of Cory’s The Smirf, released on The Sound Of Brooklyn the same year. Music was produced by Y. Dah and Henry Batts, who prior to this, was responsible for tracks by artists such as Taana Gardner, Gwen McCrae, etc.
Very soon after its release, Jalil joined with Ecstasy (John Fletcher) to form Whodini and, many albums later, the rest is history.
