Hip Hop Be Bop

Capt. Crunch & The Funky Bunch was a fictitious name used by the record label as an alias for Disco Daddy and Capt. Rapp, not to be confused with Kaptain Krunch and The Funky Bunch.

As mentioned in the Disco Daddy post and the Disco Daddy & Capt. Rapp post, the masters for this release were purchased from Rappers Rapp Disco Co. and the record was released without the artists consent. The idea was originally intended as a bribe to persuade Disco Daddy to sign to the label but after signing, the label owner decided to release the record anyway. It prevented the duo from receiving royalties from sales.
