G-Force – Feel The Force

SMI (US) [SM-12-4061] 1983

Great release from G-Force and one that helped kick start the whole Street Sounds Electro series of albums. The track was produced by and featured Ronnie Gee of Raptivity fame and 70’s disco producer Will Crittendon aka Captain Cee who had his own Willpower Records as a subsiduary of S.M.I.

There are a two variations for this release, one of which has an additional synth/ray gun noise running throughout the track. This version is the one that featured on the Street Sounds Electro 1 album. Even the intro sounds slightly different and has more of an echo. Unfortunately the labels and runout grooves are identical on both so the only way to tell the difference is to play them. And don’t think that this is a promo thing as there are also two identical promo’s for each variation. There are also a couple of different company sleeves too.

Although this track was only released generally as a 12″ there is also a hard to find 7″ test pressing too which plays the same on both sides.
