Hip Hop Be Bop

It is with sincere regret that I announce the closure of the retail side of Hip Hop Be Bop. As a one-person operation with a full-time job and increasing family commitments, I’m no longer able to dedicate the time needed to run the store to the standard you deserve. Rather than risk delays or a decline in service, I’ve made the difficult decision to wind down the retail side of the site.

The history and editorial content will remain live—only the storefront will be closing.

Please rest assured that all existing pre-orders will still be fulfilled as promised. Going forward, I will only be stocking pre-order items scheduled for release in July—nothing beyond that.

The store will remain open for a short period while I sell off existing stock. Newer releases will continue to be available both on the site and via my Discogs store. I’ll also be discounting older items, so now’s a great time to pick up a bargain before the transition.

I expect to fully close the retail side between July and August, after which all remaining stock and future listings will move exclusively to Discogs.
