The Spin Masters were brothers Hen-Gee (Henry Garcia) and Evil-E (Eric Garcia), a duo hailing from Brooklyn who became members of Ice-T‘s Rhyme Syndicate. They appeared on stage with Ice T during the audition scene in the 1985 movie, Rappin, and also in the trailer and Evil-E became Ice’s DJ, featuring on a number of his classic tracks.
The following year the duo recorded the track, Read To Break, for the obscure King Of The Streets soundtrack released on Music Entertainment Records. A slightly different demo version was also recorded on a one-sided 7″ acetate, pictured here courtesy of Fab.
In 1988 they released Bustin’ Loose as part of Rhyme Syndicate which featured as the B side to Everlast’s (House Of Pain) Syndication. Both tracks were taken from the Rhyme Syndicate Comin’ Through album. Finally, in 1991, they recorded as Hen-Gee & Evil-E and released a couple of singles together with their album, Brothers, for Pendulum.
