Spinn Masters, Spinmasters, Hen-Gee & Evil-E

The Spin Masters were brothers Hen-Gee (Henry Garcia) and Evil-E (Eric Garcia). The duo hailed from Brooklyn and became members of Ice-T’s Rhyme Syndicate. Evil-E became Ice’s DJ and featured on a number of his classic tracks. They appeared on stage with Ice T during the audition scene in the 1985 movie ‘Rappin’ and also in the trailer.

They debuted in 1985 with the single, ‘Brothers’, on California based Electrobeat Records, produced by label owner, David Storrs aka The Alien Wizard, and written together with Ice T.

The following year the duo recorded the track ‘Read To Break’ for the obscure ‘King Of The Streets’ soundtrack released on Music Entertainment Records. A slightly different demo version was also recorded on a 7″ acetate.

In 1988 they released ‘Bustin’ Loose’ as part of Ice T’s Rhyme Syndicate which featured as the B side to Everlast’s (House Of Pain) ‘Syndication’. Both tracks were taken from the Rhyme Syndicate album. Finally, in 1991, they recorded as Hen-Gee & Evil-E and released a couple of singles together with their album, ‘Brothers’, for Pendulum.
